RAC Winter Contest – VA7IHF
On Saturday, December 30th, Pierre VE7NRO and Glenn VA7HC participated in the RAC Winter Contest. Using Pierre’s ICOM 7300, they racked up a score of 2464 with 29 (eight shown) contacts on SSB. It was great fun.

How many IslandHF members are known to have participated in the RAC winter contest this year? Posted my score on 3830. It would be interesting to know many QSOs the Association did as a group.
I did not get a chance to participate in this, but am looking forward to the next contest as part of the Island HF team.

Great to hear from you , Ron. You missed a great RAC contest. Lots of Canadian amateurs on the bands. It was nice to hear/see. Looking forward to having on board for the contest the club works.
Great contest. I spent a few hours on CW and did 180 QSOs. It’s a blast to be popular… all the BIG GUNS reply quickly to calls from Canadians. I got six of the special VEnRAC stations.
