“Last Sunday Norm popped by to give me a hand with my 160M loop. I moved the feedpoint from the tower about 30’ north to a large fir tree up at 90 or so feet, so it has made a significant improvement. The fir tree is situated on a hill which adds another 30 ft. The antenna is resonant on 3.729 ish and last night I checked into the BCNET with 3 watts and got a 5/9 plus 10 report from the top end of the island, so I guess it’s working better. It now also receives better on 40M which helps with the Aurora Net. I have the loop setup as a receive antenna and switch between it and my double extended Zep when signals are difficult.”
