QSL Creator

QSL Creator is a link which is an innovative way to send digital QSL cards.

After participating in a contest (or just plain DX work), you most often generate an ADIF file for uploading to LOTW. This is all fine and good but rather impersonal.

Recently I decided to try QSL Creator and used my ADIF file from the NA SSB Sprint Contest. You should have a photo for the card which should measure 1400 x 900 pixels (or thereabouts). Below is a screen capture of what the process looked like.

UVIC SDR Workshop

A terrific turnout for the UVIC SDR workshop. Levente Buzas (UVIC radio station manager/researcher) led the workshop with help from some engineering students. Attendees included Ron VE7IRR, Chris VA7CXM, Steve VA7KH, David VA7VK, Peter VE7PLI, Dale VA7RFE, Doug VE7HZY, John VE7MHI, Brayden VA7BKW, Zachariah VE7ZCZ and Glenn VA7HC.

Many thanks to Levente and Ethan who were very helpful in working with IslandHF members to get SDR working on their laptops.
