On May 22nd, Scott Schillereff VA7SNJ made a terrific presentation on Zoom titled “QRP Adventures Near and Far” Eleven IslandHF members took the opportunity to watch Scott tell them about not only his adventures but also how puts together an amazing kit of homemade QRP components to support his IC-705 while adventuring.
Les VA7RN, Roger VE7AP, Brian VE7JKZ, Keith VE7KW, and Jim VE7ZO were awarded this Commonwealth Contest 2025 Certificate for finishing in 6th place. Congratulations team Nootka Sounders.
Don VE7AX, Alan VE7UBA, Gabor VE7UF, and Ralph VE7XF were also awarded a Commonwealth Contest 2025 certificate for finishing in 8th place. Probably a full team of five members would have challenged the Nooka Sounders for 6th place or better. LOL Congratulations team Queen City Rollers.
The IslandHF Coffee Shack continues to be a favorite activity of Victoria based members. 15 members and friends showed up on April 14th to enjoy coffee and great conversation.
